DNA Helps Police Nab ‘Ronald Reagan’ Bandit

San Diego police say DNA evidence helped them nab a bank robbery suspect nicknamed the ‘Ronald Reagan’ bandit.

Last month, a man wearing a Ronald Reagan mask held up the Bank of America in Grantville. He ditched his getaway car a short distance away.

Last week, Gerald Jones was arrested at UCSD in an unrelated matter. Police say DNA from the mask in the getaway car linked Jones to the robbery.
