DNA connects PA man to Chenango County burglary

CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- DNA evidence left at the scene of a burglary in Chenango County has lead to the arrest of a Pennsylvania man.

Shawn Davis, 26, is charged in connection with last year's burglary of a seasonal home in the Town of Columbus.

According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, police compared DNA from blood found at the scene to a sample of Davis' DNA and concluded that both samples matched.

Davis now faces a felony charge of third-degree burglary, while police continue to investigate similar burglaries in the area.
